The transport ports support backhaul connectivity, aggregation (chain/tree), redundancy (fast IP rerouting), centralized RAN solutions, and Ethernet-based chaining/switching across up to five interfaces.
ASIA (and other common units) handle BTS synchronization: Synchronous Ethernet, Timing-over-Packet (IEEE 1588v2), 1PPS/ToD via GNSS or another BTS, G.703 2.048 MHz/10 MHz, and inter-subrack/common-unit sync.
Expected IPsec throughput (DL+UL) per common-unit type and configuration (AirScale System Module):
ASIA, half-rack, 1× common unit: ~5.0 Gbps.
ASIA, full-rack, two separate BTSs (2× common units): ~10 Gbps total (5 Gbps per BTS).
Indoor plug-in for AirScale subrack (IP20); ≈3.1 kg without packaging.
